Commercial Litigation

For more than 35 years, the Rydberg Law Firm has concentrated a large part of its law practice on commercial and real estate litigation. From relatively straight-forward contract disputes to complex construction issues, and from UCC and business questions to partnership and corporate disagreements, RLF has “been there and done that.”

No single commercial case is exactly like another; however, after three and one-half decades confronting the full range of commercial disputes, the partners at RLF are ready, willing and able to provide the advice, expertise, background and energy needed to pursue all types of commercial litigation.

Marsha Rydberg has been a long-time member of the Executive Council of The Florida Bar Business Law Section. She also has been a leader in several Tampa Business organizations, having served as Chair of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 100 and of the Tampa Downtown Partnership, to name a few.

As a sub-set of the Firm’s practice, RLF has broad experience in representing both financial institutions and those who have disputes with lenders. Marsha Rydberg served as an adjunct professor at Stetson Law School teaching “banking” and “real estate finance” classes. She taught bank examiners for the Federal Reserve. She also chaired and served on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Branch of the Atlanta Federal Reserve Board. RLF is able to bring this substantial background as an additional benefit for clients who are contending with financial institutions of any size.

In short, RLF understands business and business people and the Firm knows the law. RLF is completely prepared to pursue aggressive litigation against any opponent of any size. On the other hand, RLF understand that winning at any cost often does not meet the cost-benefit test; therefore, the Firm also takes pride in its ability to work toward a creative, negotiated solution for complex problems.

At RLF, a client always will work with an attorney who has more than 35 years of commercial litigation experience. For this reason, the Firm believes its highly experienced lawyers can provide more effective, efficient services than a larger firm with dozens of associates dedicated to a single case.
